CFES Fitness Knowledge Home Study Program

The CFES Fitness Knowledge Course (homestudy or classroom based) is the prerequisite anatomy/physiology first module for fitness instructor / personal trainer certification. The course covers: an active living chapter; the skeletal system; muscular system; muscle structure and function; the principles of human movement; training principles and program planning; muscular strength and endurance; flexibility; cardiorespiratory fitness; nutrition and body weight management; and a chapter on exercise safety.
The homestudy program, recognized since 1989, is designed for students unable to attend a classroom course. The course is a combination traditional home study/online elearning. Registration fee is $205.00 [plus HST/SH] and includes: hardcopy resource manual, student program booklet; online supplemental courseware tools; toll free phone and email tutor service; marking end-of-course open book exam (does not include the NFLA national exam).
